We are a new arts based organisation run by an all female team, created to build community and inspire women and children refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. We provide a welcoming, safe space. Sessions consist of warm up exercises, art, drama and movement. Children are cared for nearby so their mothers can relax into the group.
At the end of the session the children join their mothers for music and parachute time. Through bonding as a group we hope to encourage laughter, bravery and a reconnection with identity, helping women and children develop beyond trauma and create new possibilities and purpose for their lives. MamaSuze devises projects that meet the needs of our participants.
Our projects evolve as the community formulates and grows.
